About the facilitator
An artist at heart, was content with exploring a life of art and design till the age of 17 but was led onto the spiritual path. she found herself drawn to the lost ancient art of Sufi whirling. She practiced in the Mevlevi Sufi Order which is the Order of Mevlana Jalaludin Rumi, popularly known as the poet Rumi.
To learn this form authentically, she trained under a Turkish master for 5 years in Sufi whirling and zikr i.e. Sufi chanting. Thereafter, her journey has been focused towards teaching this dance form across the world through Sufi whirling workshops across USA (Arizona, Montana, California, Washington State, Utah and more), China and across India (Delhi, Gurgaon, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Rishikesh, Kerala, Mumbai, Chennai and more).
She has taught many people in the dance form and helped them through issues of lack of passion and joy, relationship problems, stress, anxiety, fear, depression, pregnancy mood swings, empowerment and inner peace. She also integrates Gurdjieff sacred movements, Zen processes, Somatic Experiences, Tibetan meditation tools and techniques of active meditations into her workshops that are minutely designed to help individuals overcome their inhibitions, emotional and mental barriers in order to live in peace, love and joy!
